DR TAMMER AMYRA

 Dr Tammer graduated in 2001 from the University of Queensland Dental School. During this time, his talentswere clear upon receiving the Bede-Heinz Scholarship and later publishing his research work within thespecialized Endodontic (Root Canal Treatment) literature. Following graduation, he began his career in General Dentistry at Pakenham, then later moved practice to Ringwood, where he remained for the better part of 15yrs.

He’s experienced in many disciplines, but has a special interest in comprehensive care, listening to his patients and helping them understand their oral health, their options and how they can maintain or create a natural healthy smile. He is keen on developing and improving gum health and shape, improving the appearance and sensitivity from gum recession and augmenting the gums to create a solid foundation for a healthy mouth and body.

As a child he had difficult dental experiences that caused him concern and anxiety about going to the dentist,until one family dentist helped him get over that fear. Today, Dr Tammer feels strongly that these encouraging experiences should be part of dentistry, his gentle nature and great sense of humour make Dr Tammer easy for our patients to relate to as he guides you through the journey to attain your dental goals. 

One of the most rewarding experiences Dr Tammer has found in dentistry is giving people their confidence back, whether that be simply developing an understanding of their mouths or creating beautiful, natural looking smile makeovers to improve the look, function and lives of his patients. Dr Tammer loves to hear about the lives and challenges that people have had, so we can work together to create goals and plan care to fit each person, building confidence and function for life.

When not in the chair, Dr Tammer spends time with his family and friends. He enjoys many sports from the AFL to the tennis, or enjoys the quiet pace of sipping coffee at a corner café and barbecuing with friends and family.
